I am excited to tell you about what we have been up to lately. We are opening up a daycare in our home. We have been working on it for a couple of months now. We have the perfect space. Our garage is converted into a big room so that is the daycare room. We will have 4 spots available. We are only taking full time right now. Let me know if you know anyone that might be interested. Adam turns two today. He is just the sweetest little thing. His laugh makes us laugh. It just seems like yesterday we were driving to the hospital to have you little man. You bring so much joy to our lives. You love your mommy and daddy, and it melts my heart when you give Allison a hug and a kiss. You are my buddy.

I just have to tell you all how excited I am. I have been wanted to lose a few pounds for a while now and just wasnt very movtivated. So one day Tammie Mabry asked if I wanted to go to a Weight Watchers meeting with her. I said no because I didnt think that I was going to join. So later that night Darren asked if I was going to go and I told him why I wasnt going. Then he said that I could join. I was so excited. So I am in my 7th week and I have lost a total of ....................Drumroll please. 12 1/2 pounds. I am so excited. I am 2.5 pounds away from being where I was when I got pregnant. I would love to lose a little more but prepregnancy weight is fine for now. I will post some before and after pictures in a couple of days.

A new job

Well I guess just like the title says, I got a new little job. I am waitressing at the Black Diamond Bakery. For those of you that dont know yet, I didnt even know until last week but they now serve dinner. It really looks like a great menu. Its not that busy but its great while Im learning. I think part of the problem is that they dont really advertise. But last night was my first night and I had a lot of fun. My feet killed me though. I wore the shoes that I thought would be the most comfortable and they were not. So I went and got some new ones today that are super comfy. Anyway, if you are out in the area come check it out, I just might be there.

Last weekend for the GL auction, Melanie Seabolt and I got together to make some desserts. We made five total. We made a Chocolate peanut butter mousse cake, a white chocolate orange mousse, tiramisu mousse, a lemon tart and a big fondue platter. We had so much fun. Melanie is an amazing baker. If any of you remember Olivia and Shanes wedding cake, Melanie made it and it was gorgeous. I learned so much from her. I had about five people come up to me and ask if we really made them. One person said, "So there were not bar codes on those cakes". It was funny. We were really shocked when they were auctioning them off. In total our desserts made
$2600. We could not believe it. We were freaking out. So here are some pics.

I just have to tell you that Darren is very depressed right now. I think he almost cried. The news is that his favorite restaurant Changs has closed in Kent. We went on a date last night and when we pulled up the signs were all gone. So since Darren had to have his Changs, we drove to Renton so he could have his fix. Its a very sad day. We have had lots of fun times there. Zach and Kim, we will have to find somewhere else to go.

No, nobody new is pregnant. The boys brother Derek came to visit. We had a great time getting to know him. We had a very busy time but very fun. The boys golfed, they went to see Larrys gravesite, we went downtown seattle, had a big bbq and told lots of stories. We are so glad you are part of the family Derek. Well, some of you know that we have had a really hard time with Allison going poop on the toilet. She just refused to do it. It has been a really stressful time and I was at a point where I thought she would still poop in diapers till she was 20. Wellll, guess what. She has not pooped in her panties or a diaper in a week. She will go all by herself on the toilet. I am so thrilled. Over a week ago I just gave up, and I have given up before hoping she would just do it but this time I think it just clicked. Last monday she called for me and I found her in the bathroom and she had gone. I was so excited for her. Honestly though I wasnt sure if this was going to be it because she will go every once in a while so I thought ok, we will see. Then the next day. And then two days later she went twice and so on. She did have one day where she almost started going and I caught her and she said she wanted to go on the toilet. I am so proud of her. I guess I wont have a grown daughter pooping in diapers. It takes so much stress off. Anyway, sorry you had to hear about pooping and toilets I just had to tell everyone.

I just have to give a shout out to my mom. She is now the proud owner of a Licensed Practical Nurses Degree. I am so proud of her. It has been a long road but I knew she could do it. She made the honor roll and recieved a clinical excellence award in her class. She did such a great job. Even though we didnt get to see her as much as we would have liked, we knew that it was important for her to do this. So next she will try and get into the RN program, which is hard to get into, they only take like 40 students each semester so you have to camp out and its first come, first serve. I am very proud of you mom, I knew you could do it. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Today I am 28 years old. I love my birthday. I have to tell you how much I love my husband. He knows me very well. For my birthday he got me a set of Le Crueset pots and pans. I was so shocked. Its a really pretty dark blue. I guess at christmas time I was looking at them at Williams-Sonoma and he remembered. Just so you know you can get them wayyy cheaper on Ebay. I dont have much going on today, I think I will clean out the van but we are going to dinner with the family tonight. I need to find something to cook. Since its morning, all I can think of is eggs so Im off to make breakfast.

My mom surprised me last night and picked me up and took me out. We had so much fun. We went to Pasta and Co. My favorite pasta place. Then we went to Bellevue Square. She gave me some spending money so I was able to get some L'OCCITANE lotion which I wouldnt usually buy. We went to Sephora and I found this perfume that I havent been able to find cause I couldnt remember the name if it. Its Herme. They made a little sample of it for me. Then we went to Whole Foods which is a trip in itself if you dont usually go. I wish I could do all my shopping there. We had a great time. Thanks Mom.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I know how important it is for our president to appoint men and women to the court who will not legislate from the bench.

We've seen the consequences of overreaching judges who have created a right to same-sex marriage and even a right to abortion.

The presidential election will determine nothing less than the future of the Supreme Court. We can go from being one justice away from overturning Roe v. Wade to being two or even three justices away. There are also so many other important issues in front of the court- property rights, the Second Amendment, faith in the public square - just to name a few.

I have fought these battles in the Senate with John McCain. He is no recent convert to the cause - John McCain is a consistent conservative you can trust. John McCain and I stood side-by-side to confirm John Roberts and Sam Alito to the Court, and I know that as president, John McCain will appoint justices with a strict constructionist view of the Constitution.

When I raised my concerns at the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court in 2005, few other Republican Senators would join me at that critical time. John McCain was one of them.

John McCain knows that among a president's most lasting legacies are the men and women he appoints to the courts. John McCain knows that we must have judges committed to interpreting the law, not creating it. A sampling of the names McCain supported for confirmation to the federal bench are as follows: Robert Bork, Clarence Thomas, Miguel Estrada, Charles Pickering, Janice Rogers Brown, John Roberts, and Samuel Alito. John McCain made his first major speech after the midterm election losses to The Federalist Society on November 16, 2006. Commenting on the recent election losses suffered by the Republican Party, McCain stated:

'Nor do I believe Americans rejected our values and governing philosophy. On the contrary, I think they rejected us because they felt we had come to value our incumbency over our principles, and partisanship, from both parties, was no longer a contest of ideas, but an ever cruder and uncivil brawl over the spoils of power... The genius of our founding fathers wasn't that they were better people than those who came before them; it's that they realized precisely that they did not have a greater claim to virtue, and that the people who followed them weren't likely to be any more virtuous than they were. That critical insight led them to realize something important about power: if its exercise isn't limited, it will become absolute.

'Power always tries to expand. It's a law of nature, of human nature... Why has the appointment of judges become such a flashpoint of controversy in the past twenty years or so? When you understand our system in the way I've just described, when you see the wisdom in it and the humility it requires of public servants, it's easy enough to understand why we are so concerned that the judges we appoint share that understanding of the nature and limits of power.'

During my campaign for president last year, I expressed my deep concern that America is becoming a less democratic nation as unelected judges dictate more and more of our nation's laws and social policy.

I have talked at length with John McCain about these issues, and he not only shares this concern but has actively promoted a conservative view for the judiciary and the nominees we need to get confirmed and onto the bench.

Not only does John McCain stand strong on the issues, but he can win in November. More so than any other Republican candidate, the polls show that John McCain can beat Hillary or Obama in the general election.

DARREN SAID I am very excited to let everyone know that Myself, Kyle and Ryan have found our long lost brother.. His name is Derek and he was born in Texas in 1962.. I have known for a while that I had a brother and have even tried through the internet to track him down. I really did not have enough information to find him, just his first name, birthplace, and his mothers maiden name, which was Johnson.. Derek, through information provided by his grandparents, was able to find our blog.. (read the post under our Vegas trip).. Not knowing the circumstances, I stopped looking.. wishing he would find us someday. and with a last name like Dofelmier, I knew it wouldn't take much effort once he knew his birth last name.. I am sure I will have upates for you as we catch up with Derek.. Happy New Year everyone!

Viva Las Vegas

We had such a great time in Vegas. Alot of sightseeing. We didnt do everything that we wanted to but we did see alot. We loved the Bellagio and MGM Grand. The MGM is huge. We kept getting lost. I liked New York and Paris. I was able to treat myself to acrylic nails. I dont usually do things like that for myself but it was a fun treat. Andrea Bocelli was amazing. Our seats werent that good but the sound was unbelievable. He did a tribute to Pavarotti and I think it was better. He has such an amazing voice, I even cried at one point. Darren really enjoyed it too. It was a fun time to get away and spend some time together. We will definitely go back. We didnt go on the ride that I would pee my pants on. It was at the other end of the strip and it was really windy. Im so glad. Anyway Here are some pics. I cant seem to take good pictures with my fat face and all.

Vegas Baby

We are so excited, this weekend Darren and I are going to Las Vegas. He won a 2 night stay with airfare at a golf tournament last summer so we thought we would go. We have always wanted to go and now we get to. And no kiddies. It will be really nice to go away for a weekend just the two of us. We havent done this in a long time. If any of you know of great places to go please let me know. We are staying at the monte carlo hotel. Right in the middle of everything. Darren wants me to go on that ride that hangs off of the hotel, 900 feet from the ground. I told him if he wants me to pee my pants and throw up on him I would go. We really wanted to go see Andrea Boccelli but by the time we went to buy the tickets they were all sold out. oh well. We might go and try and see Hoover Dam. So I will post when we get back. On another note, I am freaking out a little because I found out yesterday that I am hosting Thanksgiving this year. Even though I am nervous I am excited. I have always wanted to do this but didnt think I would get to until later in life. I just want to have everything perfect. We might have from 11-17 people, not sure yet. Im hoping for the 11 not 17. But I will have lots of help so Im sure it will be fine.

Well, remember when I said all I needed was a mini-van. Well we got one. Except it was on the day of Allisons last soccer game. I actually got kind of nervous. I didnt think I was ready for one. I kept looking at a Dodge Durango. But once we got home and put the kids in it I was ok. It was so much easier to put them in. I think I will really like it. We are trying to sell our old car. Its a 2006 focus with only 10000 miles on it. If anyone is interested.

This year Allison really wanted to be a cat. Well I couldnt really find one so I had to improvise. I must say I have to toot my own horn. I found a ballet leotard and the ears and tail. Then I thought that would be kind of boring, soooo I made a cute litte skirt. I was pretty proud of myself. I thought she looked adorable. She had alot of fun at the fall festival. I even took her trick or treating at a couple of houses on our street. It got me motivated to craft again. I havent done much since we bought the house. Sewing machine, here I come.

All I need now is a mini-van. We have been having so much fun with Allison in soccer. It is hilarious. Little 3,4,and 5 year olds running after a ball at the same time. She wasnt really into it the first game. She played the last 2 mins. as goalie but after that she has loved it. Some times she plays on the field and then other times all she does is dig in the dirt on the field. She loves her team and her coach. We said we need to take him home with us because she listens to him. He is so patient with all of them. Now I hope she keeps liking it so she can get that scholarship.

So here is our new house. We get to sign either today or tomorrow. We are so excited. We have a little work to do. Paint, some new lighting, cleaning and so on. But the next two weeks will be crazy. We are moving in two weeks. The process took a long time and we werent sure if we were getting it so I didnt pack much. So thats our new house.

Im sorry to say that Journey went to be with Jesus last saturday afternoon. Her funeral is this weekend. But please continue to pray for the family. They are still being investigated because of her being so young and her brain being the reason why she died.

I have a very huge prayer request. Darlene Barbers nieces baby Journey is very sick. She is 5 weeks old. A few nights ago they took her to the hospital with brain swelling. They found that there was an underdeveloped vessel that caused a stroke. I was just told that they are going to remove life support on Saturday. They have a little boy who is confused by all of this. The police were involved also because they thought it might be child abuse. Please pray for this family. They need a miracle.

Hello everyone, how are all of you? We are good here. I am excited to tell you about my new blog. There isnt anything on it yet but there will be. I started one for all of my crafts and cooking ventures. Its called Crafty Wannabe. I always see these beautiful crafts on these blogs and get so inspired to make my own crafts but they dont always turn out beautiful. So I am always trying to make them better. On a personal note. We are all doing good. Adam is crawling and standing next to furniture. Allison is still her cute little sneaky self. Darren is busy at work always. 6 Years

Today my wonderful hubby and I have been married for 6 years. I still cant really believe it. It seems like yesterday I could fit into my pink and white dress. I have had a great six years. He has made me laugh, even when Im mad. I love it that he can make me laugh so easily. He is so loving and warm hearted. I can still remember the day that he proposed. He was so nervous, his voice was so shaky I could hardly understand what he was saying. I absolutely adore my husband!! He is a wonderful father. Allison adores him too. She loves to play hide-n-seek with him. I couldn't have married a better match for me. God definately knew what he was doing. I love you honey and am so excited to spend many, many more years with you.

I tried to put up a picture and realized that Darren and I never get our pictures taken together. I will have to change that.

Ten pounds lighter

I think you can all guess what that means. I have lost at least 10 lbs. I am so excited. I have been doing the South Beach Diet and exercising. I owe most of it to Jessica Cagle. She has inspired me so much. She let me ask all kinds of questions and didn't seem annoyed. We have been working out together alot. It is so much easier to have a workout buddy. I finished the first two weeks of the diet. Yesterday was the first day of phase 2. Phase 1 was difficult, but I know it had alot to do with the weight loss. I feel really good and cleaned out. I dont really crave sugar, i do carbs a little bit but not bad. I fight the temptation to eat a big plate of pasta for lunch like I used to do, I know I will have to do a ton of cardio if I do eat it so that is my motivation. The food on this diet is really great. I can pretty much have anything but differently than I used to. I used to never buy whole wheat pasta. I would buy whole wheat bread. But I would always eat all the bad stuff whenever I wanted. Now I can have a treat and not feel guilty. I like knowing that I am eating good. One thing I dont like is that they want you to eat artificial sweeteners. Im not too big on that. I tried a sugar free pudding last night and even gave it to Darren. It has a wierd after taste. So I think if I want a treat I will have the real thing, just not go over board and only have it once in a while. I wish they made a brown potato like brown rice. That will be hard for me. And they say to stay away from corn. But if I want some corn on the cob this summer, Im having some.
So thank you Jessica for putting up with my questions and wierd phone call when I was having a bad day. I am really glad that we are getting to know each other. It has been alot of fun.

Well today is my birthday. I know some people hide the fact that it is their birthday but I dont. I love my day. We celebrated on sunday. We went to a little restaurant called Paolo's in kent. We had the family there. It was fun. My hubby got me a new cell phone. I was really excited. I am now in with the cool crowd. I used to have a dinasaur for a phone. You cant even buy it anymore. I love my new one. Its pink. So this morning my mom is taking me and the kids somewhere. Im not sure where but I think it has to do with clothes. So I will let you all know. Oh and Im supposed to say that the exciting thing in my life right now is working out with Jessica. hehe.

Well, not much is happening here. We were sick this weekend. Adam, I think is teething. Im getting over a cold. And Allison has a cold, fever and an ear infection. I wasnt sure what to do. This was her first one. So I took her to the doctor and got some drops. She cried right when the doctor came in because she was wearing one of those masks. But she got a sucker and then she was fine. That was our weekend. Im excited to pick up my parents on thursday night. They have been in Honduras for a month. They love it there. They are planning on moving there someday. Thats about it. We're pretty boring. I just didnt want anyone to say that I haven't posted in a while. When something exciting happens, I will let you all know.

Well today is our little darling's birthday. The big 3. Im still in shock. She is such a little sweet heart. She is loving, caring and very funny. She loves to jump and climb. She is very creative and I love that. She has brought so much joy to our lives and I thank God for her.

Well, Im going to need some encouragement girls. As you read in my new years resolutions I want to eat healthier and lose my baby weight. So my husband gave me some motivation. He will give me $500 if I lose 22 lbs. I dont have to spend it on anyone else. Acutally he told me I couldnt. I dont really have a date set but Im still thinking about it. But I am determined to do it. So I have started to change my eating habits and I have an appointment with a personal trainer just to give me some basics. So If any of you have any tips or ideas I am open to suggestions. Thanks girls.

Ok, now if any of you saw the American Idol last night when they were in Seattle, then you should be as embarassed as I am. I think I might be ashamed to be from here. It was so bad. Resolutions

Well I wasn't sure if I wanted to put my resolutions on here but I thought that maybe through out the year some of you could remind me of them and see how I am doing. I have never made resolutions but I thought that this year I would give it a try.
1. Seek a deeper relationship with the Lord
2. Lose my baby weight plus 5 lbs.
3. Eat Healthier
4. Learn new recipes
5. Learn to sew from someone
6. Learn to knit from someone (I did this already on Friday)
7. Be more creative (my home, crafts, organizing)

So thats it. I have already started to change our eating habits and work out. I have also started looking at my old cookbooks. So I guess its a start.

Well, today is officially the beginning of Allison potty training. For a long time she just wouldn't do it. If she did she was on the toilet forever. But yesterday she went a couple of times but I still put a diaper on her. Today I just started her off without a diaper. So far she has been doing good. She goes right when I put her on and she doesnt even want a treat. Its so funny, she will say, I dont hear anything but then she goes she'll say I here it. Anyway, I will let you know about her progress.

Cradle Cap

I know that this is kind of off the wall but I wanted to let all you moms with kids with cradle cap know I figured out how to get rid of it. Maybe Im the last one to figure it out but I'll just tell you anyway. Both my kids had it bad. I put some vitamin e on it(you could use any cooking oil) but I let it sit for a few minutes then took a little comb and it all came out right away. I didnt even need to scrub his little head or get the comb too close to hurt him. Anyway, I was just excited. I wish I knew how to do this when Allison still had it. Maybe she wouldnt have been bald.

Well, our little Adam Joseph is finally here. He arrived at 3:47am on the 15th. He was 7lbs. 5oz. 20 inches. He is beautiful. We had a good delivery. I had to get the gbs iv so when we got to the hospital we had to wait another 4 hours. But if I didn't he probably would have come about an hour after we got there. So after the four hours, I was at about a 9 so they broke my water and when I got to ten which was about no time at all they told me to push and I think 6 contractions later Adam was here. So I will try and put some pictures up this week. Maybe Darren can do it.

Well, I had a check-up today. I am dilated to 2 and he could feel the head way down so any time we could be holding our little boy. But then again I could be dilated for another week. Who know's. All I know is that this boy is already disobeying his mom by not coming out.

I just thought I would update a little. Not much has been going on. I have 1 more month to go until Adam comes. So I am dealing with all of the stuff that comes with the last month of pregnancy in the summer. Allison is 2 1/2 now. She talks all the time. She is into Dora, Charlottes Web, and the Wiggles. She loves to be outside. We have been BBQing alot. We got a great deal on a BBQ so Darren said to let him make dinner as much as I want. No complaints here. I have been trying to do alot of crafts. I made a apron today actually and I have to say it was really cute. I gave it to my mom. It has little embroidered flowers on it with buttons in the middle. I have been trying to make cards. I prayed last night that God would give me craftiness. And not in the way you all are thinking. I want to be one of those people who think of something and then be able to make it. So I will try and get a picture up this weekend.

Well last night was the big night. Kyle and Chelsie got married. It was beautiful and sweet. We are so happy for them. It was a really nice wedding, alot of family and friends. No big disasters. Allison and Emma Mae were adorable. Allison didnt quite make it down the aisle though. She got a quarter of the way and saw that there were alot of people looking at her and started to cry. Its ok though she did good and she looked precious. I dont have any pictures right now but I will try and get some up pretty soon.

Beginners Bread

I made a loaf of bread this morning. I have tried to make bread before but it just didn't turn out right. But I found a recipe for Beginners bread. I don't know how it was different and why mine turned out but it did. The website I found it on is called Hillbilly Housewife. Go to recipes, then breads, then beginners bread. It was so easy. It didnt really seem time consuming, just waiting for it to rise but you can always do other things while thats happening. I think I want to try Jenni's whole wheat bread after I make this one again.

Caramel Corn

I had a craving for caramel corn last night and found this recipe on The Food Network. It is really easy and you dont need the candy thermometer. It makes 8 quarts, so its alot but would be good for those big families or a party.

Im not sure how much unpopped corn but mine filled about 2 big popcorn bowls full and that was enough. Just measure as you go along.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Put the popped corn in a large roasting pan.
1 C. Butter
2 C. Brown sugar
1 t. salt
1/2 C. light corn syrup
1 t. baking soda

Put the first 4 ingredients in a heavy duty sauce pan. Cook on medium until it starts to boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Take off the heat and add the baking soda and stir well. Pour over popped corn and stir well. Bake in oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Then lay on wax paper to cool.

So yummy, my family can't get enough.

Well I have decided to add new things to my blog. I was going to start a new one but I thought it was too confusing. So, lately (I dont know if I am already nesting or what) but I have been wanting to try new foods and cleaning solutions and easier ways to keep the house clean. So Im going to post all my new tricks of the trade. I want to add some recipes that I have also. Maybe this will keep me blogging more. So please check back, and hopefully there will actually be something new.

Well it looks like the new addition will be a little boy. In our ultrasound it was very obvious. He wasnt hiding anything. But then when we wanted to get a picture he had his foot in the way. Oh well we saw it. Anyway, we are very excited. Especially Darren. And Allison says that I have baby boy in my tummy.

Well, today is Darren and my 5 year anniversary. Can you believe it. Makes some of you others feel old huh. I just wanted to tell the world how much I love my husband. He is so wonderful. I am more in love with him today than the friday the 13th we said I do. He is a wonderful father . He loves Allison so much. He wants to provide for us and is good at it. I love him so much and appreciate everything he does for us. He is my best friend. I love you Darren.

I dont know about the rest of you but it has been really windy at our house the past couple of days. I dont really like the wind since it almost blew a tree on top of the house where I was sleeping a couple of years ago. The house that we are in now has some big trees in the back yard so it makes me nervous. On sunday I prayed all day long that God would keep us safe. Actually the main reason is if any of you watched the news last night, I think channel 7 you would have seen a tree through someones house. And guess what, It was two houses down from us. I was in the kitchen and I heard a noise, not too loud but I looked outside and there it was. It was a miracle that no one was hurt. I think the parents were in the house but not in the livingroom. The kids were playing at the neighbors. The guy said that he was watching tv and that if he had still been sitting on the couch he would have been gone. It was really sad. But they really seemed in good spirits. I havent met them yet so I thought I might do something for them. All the guys were running around the house and it was cold and windy so I made a pot of coffee.

Then one of the neighbors came over to check on our trees and we got to talking. She said this is going to be their best Christmas. And I looked at here and thought "What". She said they all still have their lives. And I said yeah that is true. But truly in the back of my mind I thought Lady you are nuts, they just lost their house a week before Christmas. But at least they have a place to go. They were able to reach through the window and get all their presents they had under the tree. Im just glad that no one was hurt. Please pray that our house stays tree free today. They say the wind is supposed to stop today.

No, we have RATS. Actually both. I dont know if there are any more but we did have them. We killed 2 on saturday with traps and we put out poison in the garage. I havent heard anything else but who knows. It still grosses me out.

Oh I just remembered I havent told the story. (There is some sensitive material in this so those of you who get grossed out easily, dont read any further. The other night I was laying bed watching tv and I heard something. So I turned the tv off for like 10 min. Then I heard the cupboard doors to the garbage bang around. So I went out there and there were mashed potatoes lined through the livingroom. So I freaked out and tried to wake Darren up but he was sound asleep so I shut our door and finally fell asleep. So next morning I told darren and he freaked out. I looked behind the couch where the potaoes led and our vent was open and there was stuff all around it. Grooooossssssssssssssss. So we taped around all of the vents. I think that was the only way they were getting in except behind the garbage, but we took care of that. Anyway, If you are feeling sick about any of that run to the bathroom. Im sorry you had to read that.

I know, isnt it gross. The other day I opened the door to the garage and something ran away. Then, I heard something under the sink the other night but I was too afraid to open it so I just kicked the door and it stopped. I dont know why but there was a hole under the sink. So darren boarded that up and where we thought it might be coming in from to the garage. Then last night I went to the garage and there it was again. Then Darren woke up last night and it was freaking out trying to get under the sink. It was squeaking and scratching. It grosses me out. Darrens going to get some traps today. I want to finish organizing the garage but Im not gonna do it if that thing is in there.

Well, we are at our new house in covington. I didn't tell you what this house looked like before but it was bad. I think one of the worst houses Ive seen. There was dog pee and cigarette smoke in the house. You couldnt really see the floor because there was junk everywhere. And by junk I mean stuff that they thought that they could get a quarter for. But we would just throw away. The garage was the worst. You could not see that floor at all. It had so much computer stuff you could open a store. I gagged when I walked in it. I know this is gross but there was dog poop somewhere in there. It was so bad. But we got new carpet, new paint, bleached everything, a new toilet. It is really cute. When I take some pictures I will post them. Oh and it is so funny, when some people drive by they slow down and point because it looks so different. On the outside of the house there were two cars that didnt work but stuffed with stuff. So when they didnt take them Andy got the title so he could get rid of them. Well one day Andy went to the house and they were gone. The neighbor next door said they came at midnight and woke them up to get something to move them. At least we didnt have to do it. But we love it, especially the three bedrooms. Darren already put the Christmas lights up. We are the only one on the street. I will try to post pictures soon.

We're Moving

I just found out last night that we are going to be moving. Darren hadn't decided until last night. Most of you know that we live on lake sawyer in Andy and Andrea Potts downstairs but now we are going to their house in covington. We love it on the lake but it is only one bedroom and the kitchen and dining room and livingroom are one big open area and it isnt really kid friendly for Allison to play outside. The house is all seperate rooms. It has three bedrooms and a fenced backyard. I am so excited. Oh and it has a dishwasher. I think that is my favorite part. It is all happening so fast. Moving Day starts the day after Thanksgiving. Anyway, I thought I would let you know and make a post so no one could write that I hadn't written anything in a while.

New job

Well, Its not really that big of a deal. Let me start from the beginning. For about the last two months, I have been wanting to learn how to sew. But my cautious husband said that I cannot get a sewing machine until I learn how. My mom has one, she bought it about two years ago and she took it out of the box........Thats about it. So we were about to set up shop and figure everthing out. I had been hand sewing to practice, but that is not very fun to me. I guess Im a little impatient. So, last friday I was pinning an apron that I bought and Darren called and asked what I was doing. I said working on my apron, and he said well how are you doing that, and I just said I was pinning it. So then he said well I have a prize for you. So he got home and guess what it was. I was so excited. He said that he went through hell (pardon my french) to get it. It was the last of the month and he went to the bank first and then he went to the renton wal-mart. For those of you who have been there, it is like another world. What a great hubby. Anyway, I was up until 3 am trying to figure everything out and practice. And for about an hour of that I thought something was wrong with it and I was putting the bobbin in the wrong way. Duh!!!

So back to the new job, I hadn't yet figured out the whole yardage measuring yet and spent more on some fabric than I wanted to. So I got home and told Darren that I would make some extra cash to help pay for my new hobby and some extra christmas $$. So my mom came over and said that she know of someone who wanted some help with cleaning and cooking. So I met with her and I will be cleaning one day and putting something in the crockpot and then making some meals at home and taking them and putting them in her freezer. And then, when I was working at starbucks, somehow a customer and I started talking about him needing his office and house cleaned. He gave me his card. So I gave him a call, and he is still interested. I think that Im going to start next week. I am really excited, if that makes sense.

The funniest thing happened the other day. Allison has been pulling her pants down lately. So this time, I pulled them up and we went on our way to the library and the store. Then we went to starbucks and i was holding her and she felt like she had something in her pants. I thought, man that is a really hard poop. there is no way it could be that. So I took her pants off and lo and behold in her shirt onsie was a golf ball. I was dying laughing. She was probably wondering why I pulled her pants up after she put a surprise in there. It didn't seem to bother her though.

This past weekend Allison and I went to Andy and Andreas reception up here. It was a warm day. My mom took Allison down to the creek to cool off. She is such a water baby. She just got right in. She would try to pick up the biggest rock she could find and then throw it. It wouldn't be very far so it would splash her and the water was cold. It would scare her and then she would laugh. I never really realized how soaked diapers get in water. It was falling off of her.

I just want to tell you something exciting that is happening in my life (no Im not pregnant.) Darren came home the other day and said that he wants me to quit my job. I was like um, did you just say what I think you said. He has always said to find another job first before I quit. But this time I dont have to find one. At least not for now. He wants me to take care of him and Allison and our home. I have been waiting for this for a long time. I am so excited to keep our home the way Darren wants it, prepare healthy meals, instead of hurrying and making whatever. I have been house cleaning with my sister in law a little bit so that brings in some extra cash so I still feel like im contributing. So, stay at home momville here I come.

Great Weekend

Good Morning Everyone, It is a beautiful morning on the lake. I can barely look outside it is so bright. We had a good weekend. Friday we just hung out at home. I had to open at work on saturday at 5:00 am so i needed to go to bed early. Saturday was just a lazy day. I needed a nap. Then we ate lunch and Darren said that he would watch The Notebook with me. Can you believe it? He's not usually a chick flick guy but I dont think there was anything else on tv. So I was really excited. Then we went to bed early again because I had to open at 5:30 on sunday. I have to tell you the funny thing about me waking up so early. Our friend Andy Potts lives upstairs. My alarm is so loud that it wakes him up but not me. A few weeks ago his fiance and her parents were here and i woke up her parents and it was going off so long they thought it was the fire alarm. So they woke up Andy and he came down and had Darren wake me up. (He sleeps on the couch when I need to get up early. I get the bed to myself. Yeah) But it was going off for like 20 min and I didnt hear it. So anyway, funny story. So I went to work sunday morning to cover for someone and she said she would be there at about 7 am. But when I looked out the window 10 min. after we got there she pulled up. So I got an early morning start. It was nice though. I was all ready for they day. So I went home, We went out to do some things. Darren fished and golfed all day. I planted some spinach and cilantro. We went to my parents house for dinner for a seafood feast. It was just like the Crabpot. My mom cooked potatoes, shrimp, sausage, clams and mussels in one big pot. So yummy. Then Terry cooked oysters on the bbq. Terry's family loves oysters. We would all fight over them. So it was a nice weekend. Lots of family time.

Sorry my blog is so long. Sorry it is not the most interesting thing ever. But at least Im writing something.
